ULANZI TC002 · INSTALLATION GUIDE
First Wi-Fi.
Then Owlanzi.
For your first installation, connect the TC002 to your home network using your phone. The Owlanzi app is then installed from a Windows computer over that network. Start here even if the clock is not detected over USB.
Current availability: You can prepare the Wi-Fi connection now. The Windows installer is still being tested on the clock, including startup after a restart. A released initial-installation download is not yet available here.
Have these ready
- Your Ulanzi TC002, powered on.
- A smartphone with Wi-Fi and a browser.
- The name and password of your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi.
- For the subsequent Owlanzi installation: a Windows 10/11 computer on the same home network. An Ethernet connection is fine.
Connect Wi-Fi in six steps
- Start the clock. Power on your new TC002 and wait for CONNECT. If its Ulanzi page already opens on your home network, keep that connection and skip to finding its address. A factory reset is not part of installation.
- Connect your phone to the clock. Open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings. Select U-Clock and enter the initial password
12345678. Stay connected if your phone says “No internet”. This temporary Wi-Fi connects your phone directly to the clock. - Open the setup page on your phone. While connected to U-Clock, type http://192.168.100.1/ into the browser address bar. Use http://, not https://, and do not enter the address in a search engine. The Ulanzi Wi-Fi setup page should appear.
- Save your home Wi-Fi on the clock. Under “SSID”, enter the name of your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi. Under “Password”, enter that network’s password, then select “Save”. These are your home Wi-Fi details, not the U-Clock password or your Owlet account. Wait for READY on the clock.
- Return to your home network. Reconnect your phone to your home Wi-Fi. Your Windows computer must use the same router; Wi-Fi or Ethernet both work. Avoid guest networks that keep devices apart.
- Find and check the clock’s new address. On the clock, open “4 – Tools” and turn the knob to “IP Address”. You can also find the clock in your router’s device list. On your computer, open http:// followed by that address. If the Ulanzi page appears, the clock is ready for installation over the home network. Write down this address for the Owlanzi helper.
Two addresses, two steps: 192.168.100.1 is the clock’s temporary setup address while your phone is connected to U-Clock. Afterwards, use the address assigned by your home router and shown on the clock. In your home network, 192.168.100.1 may belong to your router instead.
Ready when: the clock shows READY and its Ulanzi page opens from your computer at its new home-network address.

The planned helper will ask for the clock’s new IP, check compatibility and guide you through installing the app. Once the installer has passed its hardware tests, you will find its download and the remaining installation steps on this page. Keep the working home Wi-Fi connection in the meantime.
TC002: help and common questions
Why does my computer not recognise the clock over USB?
This setup procedure uses Wi-Fi. A direct USB data connection to a PC is not reliably available in the manufacturer’s default state. The USB cable powers the clock; you do not need a USB stick for this procedure. The USB installer on owlanzi.com is exclusively for TC001.
My phone says “No internet”.
This is normal while setting up the clock on U-Clock Wi-Fi. Choose to stay connected. If the setup page does not open, check that your phone is still connected to U-Clock. If needed, temporarily turn off mobile data and any VPN, then open http://192.168.100.1/ again. You can enable them again afterwards.
U-Clock does not appear in the Wi-Fi list.
If the clock already uses your home Wi-Fi, you do not need U-Clock. Find its address under “4 – Tools → IP Address” or in your router. If a new clock shows CONNECT, search for Wi-Fi again near the clock. Use the manufacturer help linked below if it still does not appear.
CONNECT remains after saving.
Check your home network’s name and password. TC002 needs 2.4 GHz; a network offering only 5 GHz will not work. Follow Ulanzi’s connection troubleshooting if the problem continues.
It works on my phone, but not on my computer.
After setup, reconnect your phone to your home Wi-Fi. Your computer must use the same router. Open the clock’s new IP address rather than automatically using the setup address 192.168.100.1. Guest networks, VPNs or client isolation may block access.
Do I need a factory reset?
No. A factory reset is not part of installation for a new clock or one already connected to your home network. If you have already reset it and it shows CONNECT, start with the Wi-Fi steps above.
