Have these ready

• Your Ulanzi TC002 on a USB power adapter. Leave power connected during installation and the startup check. No USB data cable to the computer is needed.
• A Windows, Mac or Linux computer with internet and about 1 GB of free storage. Python, a terminal and a development environment are not needed.
• Your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi and its password. Computer and clock must use the same router; Ethernet is also fine for the computer.
• Your Owlet account and an already paired sock with its Base Station.

Check the label underneath your clock. If it says TC001, use the TC001 USB guide.

Connect the clock to home Wi-Fi once

Already connected? Continue to step 3. Keep a working Wi-Fi connection. A factory reset is not part of setup.

Android: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED on the setup page

The clock may redirect you to /wifi; that is normal. If the page refuses the connection, these steps resolved the problem on our test clock:

1. In your phone’s Wi-Fi settings, select U-Clock and choose “Forget”. Only remove this saved connection on your phone.
2. Join U-Clock again using 12345678. Choose to stay connected when Android reports no internet.
3. Open a new Incognito tab in Chrome and type the full address http://192.168.100.1:80/wifi into its address bar. Check that it starts with http://.
4. Once the form appears, continue with step 4 above: save your home Wi-Fi details and wait for READY.

These steps do not require a factory reset. If the page still will not open, check that your phone is still on U-Clock. More help: Ulanzi connection help.

Download for your computer and open

• Windows: Right-click the ZIP → Extract All. Open the extracted folder, then Owlanzi Installer.exe. Keep the whole folder together.
• Mac: Open the ZIP and drag Owlanzi Installer.app to Applications. Then follow the Mac instructions directly below to allow the first launch.
• Linux: Extract the tar.gz in your file manager. Open Owlanzi Installer in the extracted folder. If asked, choose Run.

The app opens its own window. If your system blocks startup, follow the startup instructions below.

Find your clock, then install

1. Wait about 30 seconds. The app searches automatically. Select your TC002 and choose “Continue with this clock”. If more than one appears, select the one you want.
2. Owlanzi is already running? Continue to Owlet setup, or use “App updates for this clock” to update its app. Reinstallation is unnecessary.
3. For a clock running the manufacturer app, the installer checks compatibility, saves the original resources on this computer and prepares installation. On Windows, the first preparation also downloads the manufacturer tools (about 180 MB).
4. After the checks pass, read “Confirm before installing”. Keep the clock on USB power, the computer awake and both on the same home network. Tick “Yes, these requirements are met.” Only then does the grey “Install Owlanzi” button turn green and become available. Click it, then choose “Install now” in the confirmation dialog. Wait until writing is explicitly confirmed as verified.
5. When “Restart your clock now” appears, leave the clock on USB power. Turn it off with the side power switch, wait five seconds with the display dark, then turn it on again. Do not press the small reset pin next to USB-C. Unplugging USB alone is not enough because the clock has a battery.
6. Wait about a minute. “OWLANZI / LOCAL SETUP” on the clock means the app is running and waiting for your Owlet account details. Click “Check restart” in the installer. Once the check passes, Owlet setup opens automatically. Keep the backup private; “Open backup folder” shows its location.

Ready when: the installer confirms persistent startup or takes an existing Owlanzi clock to account setup.

Set up Owlet in the same window

1. Enter your Owlet email and password in the desktop app. Select your account region: Europe or International. A clock web password is needed only if you previously set one.
2. Click “Save on clock and check connection”. The app sends the details to your selected clock; the clock signs in to Owlet. If multiple socks are offered, choose the one you want.
3. Wait for “Owlet is connected”. For an already configured clock, you can use “Check existing Owlet connection”. You can also choose to set it up later in the clock’s WebUI.
4. Open the clock’s WebUI to set time zone, colors and other preferences. The rotary control adjusts brightness. You may now close the installer and turn off the computer.

Already using Owlanzi? Update with the same app

1. Open the latest desktop installer and wait for the network search. Select your clock marked “Owlanzi”.
2. Click “App updates for this clock”. If you protected the clock’s WebUI, enter its web password.
3. Choose “Check for updates”. The window shows the installed and available app versions. If your app is current, nothing needs to be installed.
4. When an update is offered, click “Install update” and confirm the displayed version. Keep the clock powered and connected to home Wi-Fi. The clock downloads and checks the update itself.
5. Wait for “Update complete”. This is shown only after the clock reports the new running version. Wi-Fi, Owlet access and settings are preserved. If completion cannot be confirmed, check the clock’s WebUI before trying another installation.

Alternatively, use System → App updates in the clock’s WebUI. An older installation without online-update support shows an explanation instead of an install button.
